A special closing event featuring Puppets by Pizzazz will finish the Rappahannock County Library’s summer reading program on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The group, which has been well received during its past appearances at the library, will appear again with an original story called “A Kid’s Best Friend.” The story, about a boy named Jimmy, begins when he wishes for a pet. “Come see if his wish comes true when a trachodon enters his life,” a library spokesman said.
Certificates and awards will also be presented to the children who have completed the reading required during this special closing program, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Punch and cookies will also be served. Parents and their children who have participated in the summer reading program are invited to attend this special event.
