Fortunately, no one was injured, but both instances were termed unavoidable due to blind curves and the inability to pass an oncoming vehicle. I consider this road the most dangerous of my entire bus route and I actually fear for the lives of the children I carry each day.
With no disrespect intended, I find it rather ironic that the very persons who appear so against this upgrading are the very persons who by increasing the traffic have created its necessity.
Yes, the old oak trees along this road were beautiful, but to the residents of Rt. 630, I must say I’m sorrry. I could never weigh the life of an innocent child against that of a tree - no matter how beautiful.
Please be patient. Construction is never pretty, and it is often inconvenient. When all is finished I am convinced that Rt. 630 will once again retain its beauty, and hopefully, have an added measure of safety to benefit all of us.
