Clatterbuck will visit
Congressman D. French Slaughter Jr. will send his district representative, Jane Clatterbuck, to Rappahannock County on Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. She will be at the county courthouse in Washington. Residents with questions, comments or problems pertaining to matters under consideration by the U. S. Congress are encouraged to come and speak with Mrs. Clatterbuck.
Lions night at RCHS
Thursday, Dec. 8 will be Lions Night at Rappahannock County High School, when the Panthers face off against Clarke County. The first home basketball game of the season will be dedicated to the Lions Club, "in recognition of your generous donation," according to RCHS principal John Toth. The Lions Club donated the proceeds of its annual auction to the purchase of scoreboards for the high school's new gymnasium. The remaining funds, more than $500, was also donated to ; the Lions' scholarship account. Mr. Toth also informed the club that its members will ; be admitted at no charge to any home ; basketball games this season, "as a token of ; the high school's appreciation."
