Happy birthday to Mrs. Charlie Burke who celebrated her 83rd birthday on Saturday, Nov. 3. She #was surprised with a birthday luncheon at her home on Blue Ridge Avenue given by her children Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Burke of Front Royal, Mrs. Pauline Hershey of Bristol, Pa., Mrs. Hilda Metzger of Lorton, Mr. and Mrs. Ashton Burke of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Burke and daughters Jennifer and Mary Lynn of Woodbridge.
Mrs. Judy Alther was honored with a surprise baby shower at the Sunday School rooms at Gid Brown Bible Church on Saturday, Nov. 19. The shower was given by her nieces Christie and Heather Estep. Approximately 25 attended. Mrs. Alther received many nice gifts for the baby.
