The Heads-Up 4-H Club, in cooperation with the county’s Girl Scouts, is planning a Christmas present for the county’s needy residents. It’s been dubbed the “Support the People Program.” On Saturday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washington fire hall, the club will have available clothing and toys. “These are donated items which need a home," club leader Brenda Knoll said. “People can come and pick out what they need.” Clothing will be sorted into types and sizes, and will include mittens, gloves, scarves, coats and blankets. There will also be household goods available. And, for parents who might otherwise have nothing under the Christmas tree on Dec. 25, there will be Christmas gifts. Each package will be wrapped, with a label which indicates whether it is for a boy or a FRESH CRISP APPLES and CIDER FOR SALE SKYLINE COLD STORAGE, INC.
