Amissville Baptist Church recently celebrated its one hundredth anniversary. The updated history was compiled by Mrs. Mary S. Priest.
Rev. James Floyd welcomed the congregation., Former pastor (19421944) Rev. A. C. Walker gave the invocation. Rev. and Mrs. Walker are now retired and live in Culpeper.
Mr. Paul Rhodes read the Church Covenant; Mrs. Charles Priest recognized the church members; Rev. Joseph Stirman, former pastor 1971-1985, delivered the anniversary sermon; Mr. Stanley F. Settle, Chariman, Deacon Board gave the Benediction.
Fellowship and luncheon was followed by a special musical service in the afternoon, hosted by Mrs. Gloria C. Mills.
