Julia Curtis

Julia Harriet Curtis, 96, of Amissville, died Nov. 27 in the Lynn Care Center.

Mrs. Curtis was born May 9, 1892, in Amissville, the daughter of the late John Amiss and Sally Belle Parr Walter. She was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Jack Curtis, Flint Hill; one brother, Robert Walter, Charlottesville; one sister, Effie Hiss, Baltimore, Md.; five grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.

A graveside service was held Dec. 2 in the Flint Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Merlin Shorb officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynn Care Center, 1000 N. Shenandoah Ave., Front Royal, Va. 22630.

Arrangements were handled by the Turner- R obertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal.

Mamie Pullen

Mamie Dollie Pullen, 95, of Culpeper, widow of Robinson Pullen, died Nov. 29 at her residence.

Mrs. Pullen was a native of Rappahannock County. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Al- . meria Dodson Atkins. She was a homemaker and a member of F.T. Baptist Church near Slate Mills.

She was preceded in death by a son, John R. Pullen. Survivors include two daughters, Ida May Pullen and Margaret P. Hoffman, both of Culpeper, one son, Gilbert S. Pullen, Waynesboro; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one greatgreat-granddaughter.

A funeral was held Dec. 1 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Eaton officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.

Pallbearers were Elmer Frazier, Marvin Clark, William M. Clark, John Marshall Clark, Alson Atkins, Dwight Pullen and Sam Grove.
