REAP teachers meeting

Anyone interested in teaching college-level courses in Rappahannock County is invited to attend a teacher orientation meeting sponsored by the Rappahannock Education Action Project (REAP) and * Lord Fairfax Community Colege. The meeting will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 2-3:30p.m. at Middle Street Gallery. Dr. Ron Ludwick, ‘ Director of Continuing Education, LFCC and Dr. Hal McMullan, Dean of Arts and Sciences, LFCC will provide prospective teachers with information and application materials on becoming accredited through LFCC, salaries, course requirements and back-up resources available to teachers through LFCC. Academic, vo-tech, and special interest courses and workshops all need teachers. REAP survey forms should be returned to the place of pick-up of Middle Street Gallery by Sunday, Dec. 11. Santa to be at CVFD -

Santa is coming to the Castleton Volunteer Fire Departmen|Pn Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. Area residents are invited to attend and bring the children according to a spokesperson for the department.

Dance team to appear

Thompson and Trammel, an innovative and energetic dance dao, will present a program of dance at the Gay St. Theater on Saturday, Dec. 10. Their concert will include selections from their award-winning performance in Washington, D.C. The program begins at 8 p.m., and tickets will be available at the regular RAAC ticket outlets. Get nuts for holidays

For the upcoming holidays, members of the Rappahannock Lions Club are selling DeLuxe Mix Nuts (no peanuts), $6 lb.; Fancy Mammouth Pecan Halves (fresh crop), $5 lb.; and 12 oz. tins of Honey Roasted Peanuts, $3 lb.
