A one-car accident Jast Saturday morning left two people hurt, one seriously.
According to Virginia State Trooper C. A. Moore, a 1970 Volkswagen driven by Donald W. Wharton of Route 1 Rixeyville, was northbound on Route 729 about 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Wharton lost control of the car on a curve just south of the intersection with Route 676, north of Estes near the Culpeper County line.
Wharton’s car slid across both lanes of the road and struck a tree.
