The winter sports season is beginning at Rappahannock County High School. The Panther boys’ basketball team meets the Clarke County Eagles in its home opener on Dec. 8, with the night dedicated to the Rappahannock Lions Club in recognition of its contribution of new scoreboards.
In January, the girls’ volleyball team and the eighth-grade boys’ basketball teams will begin their seasons.
Games scheduled for the coming weeks are as follows:
Boys’ basketball
Thursday, Dec. 8: Clarke County at RCHS. Season opener at home. Lions Night, in recognition of the club’s contribution of the scoreboards in the gymnasium. There will be a special ceremony at halftime.
Tuesday, Dec. 13: Miller School at RCHS.
Friday, Dec. 16: Page County at Page.
