And should it be determined that the county holds title, both Col. Luke and citizen activist Phil Irwin advised a thorough assessment of office space needs, reminding the board of present regrets over the past sale of the old Washington School. The former Presbyterian Church “may have an adaptive use for public purposes,” Mr. Irwin said.
In response to the questions raised at Monday’s meeting, the supervisors directed the county attorney to research the issue of who owns the building and property which now houses the county library.
RLEP elects
new officers
Directors of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) announced the election of new officers for the 18-year-old organization.
Allen Olson was elected the organization’s new president, replacing David Chuse. Frank Reynolds is the new vice president, replacing Werner Krebser. John Amberson, secretary, and Phil Irwin, treasurer, retained their offices.
