The 1989 Virginia Agricultural Best Management Practices Cost-Share Program offers farmers the opportunity to gain rebates and credits for conservation management practices instututed on their farms. The program's signup period ends on Jan. 15, so producers are encouraged to submit their applications. All applications will be reviewed by the county ASCS committee. The threat of snow on Tuesday caused the cancellation of the Panthers' scheduled hoop match against Central High School in Woodstock. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Central.

The next RALLY-sponsored . v \ Community Recycling Day will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 9-11 a.m. at the Rappahannock County Park. Glass, plastics, aluminum and newspapers will be accepted for recycling. Litter coordinator Nina Stamer also announced that the annual county Beautification Day will be held on Saturday, April 1.
