For this reason, siblings are encouraged to attend the newly developed Big Brother/Big Sister Sibling Class offered monthly at Fauquier -Hospital.
This one-time class is designed for “expectant” brothers and sisters between the ages of 2 and 10.
It is an attempt to acquaint them with the changes which will occur in their family and what to expect after the baby is born.
The class includes a tour of^he nursery and post partum unit as well as an opportunity to “practice” changing diapers, dressing and holding a baby.
It is offered the second Saturday of each month and is free of charge.
