Mrs. Alvin Atkins and brother Harold of Sperryville were recent dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Fraizer on Rt. 615. Sunday they joined with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family and were luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade of Culpeper.

Mr. and Mi’s. Ham' Morrison of Winchester were Sunday overnight and Monday guests of Mrs. Cary Thornhill.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan spent the long Columbus Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Padgett in Fairfax and visited other friends in Alexandria.

Marvin B. Burke of Rochelle was a guest last Wednesday of Mrs. Joe Peregory and children on Rt. 615.

Mrs. Ida Cornell who has recently returned from the Culpeper Memorial Hospital is recuperating at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Atkins down Salem way.

The Salem Fire Dept, and Rescue in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week held open house on Saturday with a good attendance.
