Patrick Healy Georger, 65, of Castleton, died Oct. 9 as a result of injuries he received in an accident Oct. 7. Mr. Georger was struck by a car as he walked toward the railroad station in Manassas.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Warrenton Cemetary.
Georger was a familiar figure in Warrenton. A loyal fan of all Fauquier High School athletic contests and a faithful patron of church and civic luncheons, suppers, fairs and carnivals, he played the piano and guitar and was a regular and enthusiastic performer in every production of the hospital Follies.
He had an incredible memory for names and faces and gave a hearty greeting to everyone he had ever met. He remembered past events and dates, as well as family connections of people he knew even slightly.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., in February 1923, Georger moved to Warrenton with his parents, the late Dr. and Mrs. Francis A. Georger, and his brother, F.A. Georger Jr.
The family made their home at Arbor Vitae, just north of Warren
