Going into it’s second year of business in Flint Hill, Snaps Horse & Outdoor Supplies is pleased to announce two new services to area residents. Snaps is now offering a tack and leather repair service.
Also, Snaps is now a catalog dealer for Woolrich which has a fine line of men and women’s clothing. Snaps is located in the Flint Hill Square and is open Mondays and Fridays 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30-5 p.m., Saturdays 9:30-noon or by appointment, (675-3838).

Annual International Gold Cup, Great Meadow, The Plains • Saturday, October 21,1:30 p.m.—Riders, horses and trainers will compete for the richest timber steeplechase purse in the U.S. this fall season --$20,000 International Gold Cup, sponsored by the Sovran Bank.
The race was traditionally run over brush fences at Rolling Rock near Ligonicr, Pa., where it was contested from 1935 to 1983.
A supporting card of six other races will round out the day at Great Meadow. Tickets will be available in advance, and the gales open at 10 a.m. for entertainment including hound races and an antique carriage parade commemorating the Morgan Horse Bicentcnial.
