Reviews permits for private and commercial entrances, utilities, and land use to ensure compliance with Department policies and procedures. Must have knowledge of construction matenals, methods, practices; principles of roadway design, and general construction inspection techniques. The successful candidate will have the ability to read and interpret rules, regulations, contracts, and construction plans and specifications, use engineering field equipment; record data and prepare reports, communicate effectively both orally and in writing; maintain good working relationships with all levels of people; and pass materials certifications schools within two years of entering this position. A valid Va. operator's license is required.
