It’s funny how people who claim that the Bible is God’s infallible Word seem not to know its contents.
For instance, a recent writer to a Culpeper newspaper presented it as a sort of manual for moral sex relationships, forgetting, I guess, about King Solomon’s 1,000 wives and concubines. His only sin was taking up the women’s religious beliefs.. Overlooked as .well..were Lot’s daughters’ relations with him (after they had tricked him into drinking himself into a stupor) in order to “save his seed.”
Anti-choice people also use the Bible to back up their position, but it’s highly unlikely that the God portrayed in the Bible is actually against abortions. Consider the fact the He destroyed all of developing mankind, including many fetuses or “babies” in the womb, one has to imagine, and saved only Noah and his family, because He didn’t like the way people were coming along.
