Recycling meeting Nov. 14

Recycling coordinator Nina Stainer announced that there will be an open meeting at the courthouse on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. to discuss recycling. Mrs. Stamer said questions about recycling are welcome, as well as suggestions about how to better implement the county’s recycling program. Call Mrs. Stamer (675-3810) for more information.

Story workshop Oct. 14,15

Julie Portman, artistic director of the Golden Key Performance Group, will lead a weekend workshop in storytelling for adults who want to tell and listen and create with stories. The workshop will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15 at the Town Hall in Washington. It will focus on story as a language common to everyone • and as a.key to creativity. In the workshop, visual art, poetry, traditional and personal stories will be used as a source of inspiration. Participants will also work in small groups creating and sharing stories together. Rude Mechanicals Oct. 27

Comic love scenes from Shakespeare come to life when The Rude Mechanicals present “In Lovers’ Eyes,” on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 • p.-m. in the Fauquier High School Auditorium. This delightful, amusing, and thoroughly modem performance will be presented by a professional troupe trained at the celebrated Folger Theatre. These engaging young actors present a whimsical introduction to Shakespeare which is amusing and enlightening for audiences of all ages. Tickets for the evening performance are $5 for adults 18 and up, $2.50 for children, and just $10 for families of three or more. Advance tickets are available from the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department, 62 Culpeper St., Warrenton; and at Jefferson Savings and Loan. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
