Mrs. Hazel Hawkins spent last Wednesday with Mrs. JoAnne Petty in Front Royal. Mrs. Petty underwent gall bladder surgery on Monday. We wish her a speedy recovery. Sympathy is extended to Mr. Clarence Scott down Castleton way upon the passing of his sister Mrs. Ruby Elliott who died last Thursday in a Charlottesville nursing home at the age of 87.
Mr. and Mrs. John Waddell and children of Rt. 707 attended the spaghetti dinner and band concert at Rappahannock Elementary School Thursday evening. Their children participated in the program.
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Nellie Nicholson, 85, of Stephens City. She and her family resided here for many years on the late Dick C. Weaver farm.
