When they arrived, Sheriff Woodward said, only the remains of what could have been a cross remained in the debris fire. Four young men, including one juvenile, from the Culpeper and Fredericksburg areas, were still there cleaning up throwaway construction materials. All are employees of a subcontractor hired by the builder, Jim Walters Homes.
