The Fabulous Baker Boys'

The movie The Fabulous Baker Boys will be playing at the Gay Street Theater on Friday and Sunday, January 19 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. For 15 years, Frank Baker, (Beau Bridges) and his brother Jack (Jeff Bridges), have been working together as a two-piano team, doing the same moldy patter night after night, playing “Feelings” in mossy Seattle hotel lounges for people who talk through their act. The boys are roused from thier sleep by Susie Daimond (Michelle Pfeiffer), a singer who joins the act. Best Actress went to Michelle Pfeiffer for “The Fabulous Baker Boys." ‘‘The Fabulous Baker Boys” also received awards for Beau Bridges as Best Supporting Actor and Best Cinematography by Michael Ballhaus. The movie is rated R.

Aerobic workout planned

Allen's opera at Gay St.

On Saturday, Jan. 20, the premier performance of Patrick Allen’s ‘Tales from the Debateable Land” will be presented at the Gay Street Theater in Washington at 8 p.m. “Tales” is a collection of stories and original musical compositions concerning the exploits of Col. Herbal Medicine workshop

Fashion show planned

The Rappahannock Women’s Club annual fashion show will be held on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at Rappahaqnock Countv Elementary School. This year’s theme, Country Reflections, will feature fashions from Frank’s and Warren Quality in Front Royal and Peebles in . _Warrenton.
