1903, in Fauquier County, the son of the late Robert and Alberta Ross Jackson. He was married to the late Ella Lewis Jackson.
Surviving are three daughters, Katie Lewis of Arlington, Catherine Carter of Front Royal and Julia O’Bannion of Falls Church; three sons, John Jackson of Warrenton, James Jackson of Berryville and Henry Jackson of Bethesda, Md.; one sister, Mary Jackson of Winchester; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Thomas Johnson
Thomas Rogers Johnson, 65, of Front Royal died Jan. 10 at his home.
The funeral was conducted Jan. 15 by the Rev. Jerry Young at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home. Burial was in the Panorama Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Johnson was born in Charlottesville on Aug. 13, 1924, son of Virginia Longworth Johnson of Columbia, Va., and the late Hawthorne Johnson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He was a retired employee of Avtex and a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mary Lucille Johnson; one daughter, Gloria Lucille Pullen of Flint Hill; two brothers, Walter Johnson of Florida and Charlie Johnson of Richmond; two sisters; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were Donnie Callahan, Lester Walker, Ira Cullers, Aubrey Darr, Harley Coulboume and Thomas L. Nicewamer Jr.
