Matthew Eidson won the Rappahannock County High School best athlete trophy at last Thursday’s athletic banquet.

Each year the trophy goes to an athlete who is successful in at least two sports. Mr. Eidson competed in cross country running and in track, where he competed in the one-mile and two-mile events. He won most valuable runner in both sports. He won the two-mile race in both the district and regional track meets and came in seventh in the state championships.
