heavier but still sales were slow and cold drinks were the most popular items.
“It’s been real slow this year,” Sue Clark from The Little North Mountain Trading Company in Winchester said.
“This is my fourth year at the event and I’ve never seen it this slow,” she said, gathering things together for another show Sunday evening.
“This is also the hottest I’ve ever seen it,” she said with laughter, adding she did not know whether sales were low due to the heat or the economy.
“There are so many other events going on this weekend,” she said.
The Sperryville Antique Market was busy with customers browsing and buying both afternoons, although the crowd was reported to be of average size.
