The Inn at Little Washington was one of 10 U.S. restaurants to be inducted into the Restaurant Hall of Fame last month.
Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch, proprietors of America’s only Five Star inn, accepted the award on May 19 at a special awards ceremony hosted by Nation’s Restaurant News at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago.
The list of restaurants inducted this year includes: The Inn at Little Washington; Montrachet, New York; Antoine’s, New Orleans: Stars, San Francisco; Charlie Trotter’s, Chicago; and Coyote Cafe, Santa Fe, N.M.
“We feel honored and delighted to be in such grand company,” said Mr. O’Connell.
Hall of Fame winners are selected by their peers and past inductees each year on the basis of their unique contribution to the hospitality industry.
