The Building Trades Department at Rappahannock" County High School will have one 8-by-12 utility shed for sale to the general public upon completion.
The shed may be seen now behind the RCHS shop between 3:15 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The building has a floor composed of 2x4’s spaced at 16 inches on center covered with 3/4-inch plywood.
Sides are also spaced 16 inches on center covered with fir T-lll siding.
Roofing consists of half-inch plywood covered with asphalt shingles. The building rests on three 4-by~4 pressure-treated skids.
“Unlike in previous years, we sprayed on an oil-based stain and painted all trim,” said Tim Corder, building trades instructor.
The activity sums up a year’s work of a survey of the trades. Other units of study included masonry, house wiring, welding, and sheet metal work.
