Charles Williams Charles Hugh Williams, 66, of Front Royal, died Tuesday, May 21 ' at the Warren Memorial Hospital. The funeral was conducted Friday, May 24 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born April 9, 1925, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Bossie and Nellie Harris Williams. He had been superintendent of the Front Royal Water Treatment Plant for 39 years. He was a member of the Front Royal United Methodist Church and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Naomi Mills Williams; a son, Charles H. Williams Jr. of Front Royal; two daughters, Dianne Williams and Janice Williams Hoffman, both of Front Royal; a brother, Dennis Williams of Front Royal; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Larry Daniel, Steve Schiro, Randy Goldizen, David Pomeroy, Edwin Eastham III and John Cosgrove. Honorary pallbearers were Theodore Vaught Jr., Casey Struckman, Jeff Vaught, Dr. Edwin Eastham, Jack Grove, Willie Sealock, Joe McDaniel, Webb Davis, Brad Hartley, Maxie Cameron, Fred Vaught, Gregory Vaught and Ritchie Vaught.
