A WoodviUe man was charged with manufacturing marijuana after a state trooper discovered 40 plants behind his house at 2:35 p.m. May 26, according to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the State Police.
James Franklin Pullen, 44, of Woodville, was arrested after Trooper S.M. Knick discovered the plants while searching in the woods for a motorcyclist, said Sgt. Adams. Trooper Knick thought, the motorcyclist might have disappeared into the woods, and got Mr. Pullen’s permission to search his property, said Sgt. Adams.
The plants were located near U.S. 522 in Woodville, 1.3 miles south of Route 620, said Sgt. Adams. He estimated the value of a fully grown plant at $1,000.
The cyclist was not found, he said.
