Dr. Young said he would attend the Board of Supervisors budget work session this Wednesday and asked treasurer Helen Platt to attend also to explain the library’s investment income.
Mrs. Platt said that the auditor who audits the county’s accounts also audits the library’s accounts.
She said that she had been able to save money by buying insurance for the new building though the county’s insurance.
“That will free up money to use for cleaning and maintenance,” Dr. Young said.
The board voted to seek bids for mowing the lawn at the new site. The board is also looking for someone to clean the new library regularly.
