Comprehensive Plan.
Commission member Susan Parrish, who is also a member of the Town Council, asked if the Comprehensive Plan should include whether the town planned to provide a sewer system.
Town attorney Frank Reynolds said the Comprehensive Plan should address that issue. The current plan specifically says the town does not plan to have a sewage system.
Mr. Reynolds said the planners should plan to have several work sessions inviting comments from everyone. “When everybody has a say, it lends validity to it,” he said.
Mr. Morehouse said he had not wanted to get involved in planning for a sewage system. “I felt the safety of the water system should come first,” he said.
He said putting a sewage system would be a four- or five-year task, with continual requirements that it be upgraded. “This town con’t possibly find the money for it,” he said.

Work on Route 640 from Route 642 just south of Viewtown in Rappahannock County to the Culpeper County line began recently.
The road was widened and hardsurfaced from its intersection with Route 642 for a distance of ninetenths of a mile east to the Culpeper County line.
