Songs of the British Isles
The Arlington Metropolitan Chorus with music director Barry S. Hemphill will present "Songs of the British Isles and the American South" at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 1 in the Theatre at Washington, Va.
The one-hour performance will feature folk songs, ballads, Victorian partsongs and the music of Stephen Foster.
Admission is $5, but students are $2 and children under 12 get in free.

Virginia Wineries Festival
The 10th annual Virginia Wineries Festival will be held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. June 1 and June 2 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center in Front Royal.
Entertainment includes wine tasting from 35 wineries; live jazz, blues and bluegrass; more than 60 artists and craftsmen; wine appreciation seminars and special children's entertainment.
Advance tickets are $10, at the gate $12 and kids under 21 are $2.
