pahannock Red Cross board, said the response to restarting the chapter has been quite favorable.
“We mailed out a letter to county residents the first of March ‘soliciting funds to restart.’ We received $20,000 from over '900 residents,” she said.
The chapter is allowed a sixmonth probationary period in which it is required to provide the community with government mandated services such as 24-hour disaster relief assistance and service to military families.
“We are only going to offer the government mandated services for now before we start other services like swimming classes and CPR - the Prince William Chapter offers that,” said Mrs. Baxley.
