Annual awards banquet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Emergency Medical Services Council will hold its annual awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 at the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad building. There wall be an all you can eat buffet at the cost of $11 per person. The dinner is an event which honors squad members and area people for their support. The guest speaker will be Steve Strawderman who is a paramedic with Prince William County Fire & Rescue. To make reservations call the EMS office at 703-825-6849.
Workshop choir meeting
A workshop choir 1991 organizational meeting under the direction of Brother Robert Rhodes, Sister Evertta Ellerbe, Sister Ilona Epperson and Brother Harrison Williams will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 at the Rising Zion Baptist Church in Winston, Va. Car wash and bake sale
Child Care and Learning Center will be holding a car wash and bake sale on Friday, July 19. The car wash is from 9:30 to 3 p.m. Cost is $4 per vehicle. The bake sale is from 9:30 to 5:15 p.m. Proceeds will go to benefit the school age field trip fund.
Local aging plan hearing
On Monday, July 29, the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold a public hearing on the FY92 Plan for services to assist the older residents of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties. The hearing wall be held at 2 p.m. in the parish hall of the Precious Blood Catholic Church, 401 N. Main St., Culpeper.
The public is invited to review the services the RappahannockRapidan Community Services Board will offer in the coming year and to comment on unmet needs and general aging-related concerns. Craft bazaar
The ladies of the Culpeper United Methodist Church will be sponsoring a Christmas Craft Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16. The bazaar will be held in the fellowship hall of the United Methodist Church located on Oaklawn Drive. Craft tables are available to rent for $15 each.
