Monarchs head
to league playoffs
The Rappahannock Monarchs adult baseball team beat Carl’s Pizza 11-7 last week behind three RBI by Nils Aylor, ending the season in a tie for first place with Woodstock.
Although both teams sported 7-5 records, Woodstock scored one more run during the teams’ four games this year, making them the regularseason champs. The Monarchs finished second.
The playoffs begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 against Strasbure
