The Rappahannock Convalescent Aids Loan Closet is a Washington, Va.-based service that provides at no cost a variety of medical hardware to county residents.
The convalescent aids available from the “loan closet” include hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, commodes, toilet guards and raised seats.
The items are distributed on a free, three-month basis, but the length of the loan is renewable depending on the circumstances.
The only condition is that the convalescent aids are returned in the same shape they are loaned out.
