Junior Garden Club organized
The Rappahannock Extension Office, with the help of the 4-H Club, is organizing a junior Garden Club for girls and boys ages 9-12.
Monthly meetings will be held during the school year, with a few summer get-togethers as well.
The first meeting starts at 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at the Extension Office in Washington. Prospective members will visit Jane Peterson's home. Mrs. Peterson is a member of the county Garden Club.
The meeting will be held by her pool and she will give a tour of her garden. Refreshments will be served.

Puppets perform at library
The public library's summer reading program, “Reading is DinoMite," will have a final program at 7 p.m. Aug. 21. Puppets by Pizzazz will put on a puppet show. The event is free and open to the public. Call 675-3780.
