Bluemont series continues
The Bluemont Summer Concert Series continues this weekend with concerts in Culpeper and Warrenton.
The Ebenezer String Band and Professor Tuckahoe will bring the finest in traditional American music to Old Town Warrenton at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Requested donation is $3 per person.
The two bands feature two wonderful musical families. The Ebenezer String Band consists of five members of the Ross family from West Virginia, ages 5-35. Their lively music reflects the family's wide range of musical interests.
Professor Tuckahoe's Minstrels is a four-member ensemble, the Ayers family, performing (in period dress) the music that would likely have been heard in this region of Virginia during the 1800s.
In Culpeper at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 Bluemont's Caribbean Festival features the Pan Masters Steel Orchestra. The Pan Masters, originally from Trinidad and Tobago, delight audiences with infectious rhythms.
