Allison had been indicted in May • for two counts of felonious assault, ’ but the indictments were sealed un• til late last week, when he was served with the indictments.
He has been indicted for the alleged felonious assault of Alan D. “ Assink on May 17, 1986, at the now- closed Hawaiian Village Restaurant • in Warrenton, according to Mr. Lynn. He allegedly assaulted Mr. ' Assink with a pool cue.
He has also been indicted for feloniously assaulting William M. Haithcock with his fists on Aug. 13, 1987 in the village of Marshall, said ' Mr. Lynn.
Neither charge was prosecuted at the time of the respective offenses, said Mr. Lynn, because “of ' the lack of willing witnesses.” 11 ’ Before Circuit Court Judge Carlton Penn last Friday, Allison asked - for a continuance so that he could re" tain a lawyer, said Mr. Lynn. " His case was continued until Sep’ tember, and Judge Penn said Allison •could be sent back to the federal “ lock-up if it makes it easier for him ' to retain counsel. '• ‘ Also, asked about local prosecu• tions based on evidence from the Al• lison case’s many cooperating witnesses and informants, Mr. Lynn said, “We’ve been involved in re,'y viewing the investigation and working with the Fauquier Sheriffs Office in further investigations,” but that it is “too early to say” what it may lead to.
