“On almost every felony case I participate. The investigator comes in and talks to me, we go over that we have and what we need. But he does the footwork in terms of putting it together,” he explained.
Mr. Luke said he has a good relationship with the Rappahannock Sheriffs Office and the State Police, which Sheriff John H. Woodward confirmed “one hundred percent.”
“On some percentage of felony cases I actually go out and assist with the physical evidence,” he said.
“All of the troopers and deputies know that if there is any kind of case out of the ordinary they can call me,” and it happens about once a week, he said.
In large jurisdictions such as> Fairfax, that would be impossible, he added.
