Ashby and Norma Grimsley and daughter Ashley of Front Royal visited Mrs. Ethel Lillard during the holiday. George Grimsley was a Sunday visitor of his sister.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gencarelli and daughter Anne Gray have been houseguests of Mrs. Linnie Cummings and Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Klise. The Gencarelli’s are in the process of moving from Chicago to Lynchburg, where Mr. Gencarelli has accepted a position.

Charles and Lisa Shipe of Front Royal are the proud parents of a baby girl, Samantha Paige, weighing seven pounds and nine and onehalf ounces and 21 inches long, bom on Thursday, Jan. 2 at Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital, the first baby of 1992.

Mrs. Shipe is the former Lisa Alther of Rappahannock County.

Paternal grandparents of the infant are Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Shipe of Front Royal and maternal grandparents are Linda Corder of Front Royal and Billy Alther of Culpeper. Great-grandmother is Mrs. Jonas Alther Sr. of Washington.

The Shipes and infant were presented gifts from the hospital and other surrounding businesses on being the first baby of the year.

Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Wade of Manassas were recent guests of his grandparents Charlie and Clarice Lillard.
