Mrs. Souders was bom Nov. 28, 1911 in Florida, the daughter of the late George L. and Rosa Pitts Martin.
She was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church, a graduate of Quincy High School in Quincy, Fla. and a volunteer at Farmington Elementary School in Culpeper. She was married to the late John E. Souders.
Survivors include two sons, John Martin Souders of Waterford, Va. and Thomas Michael Souders of Frederick, Md.; a daughter, Susan Gay Phillips of Apex, N.C.; four grandchildren and a brother, Claude Martin of Quincy, Fla.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 2 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. H.O. Browning officiating. Burial was in Warrenton Cemetery.
