Mr. McCarthy concurred saying “The board members have beer doing to much good work for so long, they feel they are being second guessed. It limits my ability to resolve the problem.”
He said that three different people write checks on the library’s account. “The librarian should spend the money. The process is important to me,” he said. “I’m responsible to so many people. I have to say I know where your tax dollar goes. The Library Board is more and more a part of the county; you have to become part of normal bookkeeping.”
The supervisors said that Mr. McCarthy should get together with the Library Board members and return with a recommendation.
