Mary Harris
Mary Gertrude Thorn Harris, 76, of Luray, formerly of Woodville, died Friday, Jan. 3.
Mrs. Harris was born in Virginia on March 8, 1915, the daughter of Charles Ernest and French Alabama Thom and attended Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church in Washington.
Her husband was the late John Andrew Harris.
Survivors include two (laughters, Mary Coppage of Stanley and Martha Faulkner of Culpeper; two sons, Edward M. Harris of Leesburg and John A. Harris of Bemidji, Minn; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lula Benson of Winchester and Virginia Benson of Churchville and a brother, William Thom of Staunton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper with Rev. John Burke Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Coppage, Mike Cave, Jeff Dwyer, Jimmy Dodson, Charles Harris and Mike Foster.
Karl Edgar Kyle, 17, of Reva, died Sunday, Jan. 5 at his residence.
He was bom Jan. 30, 1974 in Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Kyle of Reva.
Survivors in addition to his parents are three sisters, Christine Williams of Boston, Susan McKinley of Florida and Lisa Meier of North Carolina.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper with Hazel Eakin officiating.
