Allen McNees McDonald, 60, of Front Royal, died Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Front Royal,

The funeral was conducted Friday, Jan. 3 at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Randy Omdorff. Burial, with presentation of the flag by the VFW Post, was in the Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Mr. McDonald was bom July 18, 1931, in Clarke County, the son of the late John L. and Dorothy Smallwood McDonald. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church, the Giles B. Cook Post 53 American Legion, the VFW Post 1860, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 829 and the BPO Elks Lodge 2382.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Ann Laing McDonald; a son, Timothy Allen McDonald of Berryville; two stepsons, Robert Rodden of Huntly and Michael Gehringer of Harrisonburg; a brother, Ray Francis McDonald of Belleview, Fla.; two sisters, Dottie Lee Willingham and Idell Good, both of Berryville and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Clayter, Aubrey Gibson, Shirley Durham, Robert Shepherd, Gene Strother and Mark Layman. The paint crew of Rokeby Farm in Berryville was honorary pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverton United Methodist Church.

George Jenkins

George Booten Jenkins, 70, of White Post, died Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Winchester Medical Center.

The funeral was conducted Friday, Jan. 3 at the Enders Funeral Home in Berryville by William E. Ingram. Burial was in the Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville.

Mr. Jenkins was bom Sept. 21, 1921, in Sperryville, the son of Lela Jenkins of Berryville and the late Silas Jenkins. He was a retired farmer and the husband of the late Mary Madeline Jenkins.

Surviving with his mother are five sons, Charles W. Jenkins, Timothy A. Jenkins and Daniel W. Jenkins, all of Berryville, Donald L. Jenkins of Winchester and Michael R. Jenkins of White Post; three daughters, Rebecca A. Wilkins of Stephenson, Patricia M. Henson and
