The county got permission from the Washington Town Council last week to move the Magistrates’ office out to R garage.
After listening to County Administrator John McCarthy plead the county’s case, the council unanimously agreed to rezone a small garage near the jail from village residential to village services (gov_ ernment Offices.)
The supervisors have been asked by the judges to ease the overcrowding on the first floor of the courthouse so that moreroom is available for witnesses, JoeTendents^ and lawyers.
