He urged the students to work hard and noted that “relay races are lost in the passing of the baton. We’re going to be passing the baton to you.”
After his remarks, Rep. Wolf fielded questions from the students from government and business law classes. On the issue of the separation of church and state, he said our system has generally worked, but he said he disagreed with the Supreme Court decision last year that banned prayers at graduation.
On abortion he said he opposed abortion except in cases of rape or incest or to protect the mother’s life. He said he had opposed government funding for abortion.
