Advisory committee to meet*
The Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee for the Rappahannock County Public Schools will meet in the Rappahannock Elementary School library at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26. The meeting is ; open to the public.
The functions of the committee are to advise the Director of Pupil Personnel of the needs of the gifted program, to disseminate information regarding the gifted program in the school division, to assist in contacting community members interested in working with the gifted l program, to acquire parent volunteers to help with the gifted pro- , gram, to help evaluate the gifted program and to make recommenda- ; tions for improvement. Members of the community may express their views by contacting the members directly or by calling Mrs. Piper at the School Board Office, 987-8773.
Artifact display at Library
The Indonesian Artifact display at the Rappahannock Library wilj be available for community members to view for one more week. The items were contributed by Wendi Sirat and Cathy and Jim Fort.
Baseball draft meeting
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold a public meeting on RAA baseball at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 at the Amissville fire hall. Due to the growth.in the past three years, the league has decided to discuss a single draft system for the entire league. . The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold softball * registration for children five years old by Dec. 31, 1992 and not over 1& by Aug. 1. For girls softball ages seven-15 years old will be held from » 10a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 13, 20, and 27. The locations will be at the Flint j Hill fire hall, Rappahannock High School and Amissville fire hall. Cost is $25 for first child, $20 for second child and $15 for each family member thereafter.
