Health classes at Piedmont
Are you overweight? Do you suffer from hypertension? Well, take charge and do something about it!
A new course at Piedmont Technical Education Center addresses these and other health concerns. Titled “Natural Remedies for Today’s Diseases,” the class will be taught by health professionals from Hartland Wellness Center, a lifestyle education center located near Rapidan. They will emphasize lifestyle management that allows people to prevent or alleviate certain diseases resulting from today’s hectic pace.
Other new offerings this semester include ham radio operation, cake decorating, and private pilot ground school. Look elsewhere in this paper for a full listing of Piedmont Tech courses or call 825-0476 for information.
Thrift shop open
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary Thrift Shop is still open. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. Donations are still being accepted and can be left on the enclosed porch.
