The Rappahannock Panthers split a pair of basketball games against district foes during the past week. They had an easy time against Manassas Park, wanning 85-49, on Friday night and then lost a hard fought game against district leader Brentsville Saturday night, 63-79.
The team played both games without Michael Williams, who has been dropped from the team for disciplinary reasons, according to Coach Gary Leake.
Against Manassas Park the Panthers opened up an early lead in the first quarter. Early in the second quarter the score was 22-8 for Rappahannock.
